This conference aims to provide a comprehensive insight into the damaging psychological and social effects wrongful imprisonment and miscarriages of justice engender and to offer a platform for constructive policy debates on support and aftercare for victims of miscarriages of justice.

It features first-hand accounts from victims of wrongful imprisonment, families and advocates and brings together an outstanding array of leading psychiatrists, academics, experts, lawyers and health care providers to critically examine causes, healing solutions and preventative measures.

The Venue

The prestigious Glasgow City Chambers, George Square, Glasgow, G2 1DU.

Completed in 1888, the City Chambers has for over a hundred years been the headquarters of successive councils serving the city of Glasgow, witnessing many historic events and are situated on the eastern side of the city's George Square. The conference will take place in the banqueting hall in which Nelson Mandela received his Freedom Of the City in 1993.
